My name is Katie Wagner, art teacher at Spaulding Elementary. I teach each class at Spaulding at least once per week and have enjoyed getting to know so many students and families over the years! I am very excited about this new year and can't wait to meet each and every one of you!!!  Please take some time to read a little more about me and if have questions on the art program, do not hesitate to contact me through email. Thank you for stopping by my webpage!

"Hey Mrs. Wagner, look at my Vincent van Gogh shirt!"  I love when they love what we learn!

We are working on constructing space ships in some of our 5th grade art classes!  Students create the vessel by first building with found materials and must pay close attention to balance, symmetry, and size perimeters.  These are then covered in plaster and eventually painted.  Its a messy job, but someone has to do it :)

Our 3rd graders made winter snow globes this month!  We had a great time decorating and even learned how to use a compass in the process!  This is Mrs. Phillips homeroom, they are very proud of their work and can't wait to take it home for winter break!

Day of the Dead Parade

The 5th grade students learned about the Mexican holiday, El Dia de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) and created skull masks similar to the skulls used in Mexican and Aztec cultures during this three day celebration of souls lost.  Special thanks to Ms. Christina Denney for editing and creating this awesome video showcasing the work of our students!

Spaulding Teachers are Happy!

I am proud of our Happy video that we created for our students this year!  It was a blast to create and I love watching all of us cut loose ready for a new year!
