Welcome to Miss McNally's Classroom!

Hello! Thank you for visiting my website. This is my first year teaching at Spaulding Elementary and I am so excited to be a part of this wonderful Warrior family! I am from Mason, Ohio and graduated from Mason High School. I went on to continue my education at Miami University and graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating from Miami, I attended Notre Dame College where I became certified to teach fourth and fifth grades in all subject areas. I teach Language Arts on a team of wonderful teachers including Mrs. Knuckles (Math), Mr. Hounshell (Science/Social Studies), and Miss Cuzzolini and Mrs. Hayward (Intervention Specialists).

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy giving back to our communities through Relay for Life. Currently, I am the Event Chair for the Relay for Life of Warren County, where we raise money and awareness to support those in our communities battling cancer. This is a cause very near and dear to my heart. I am also a HUGE Cincinnati sports fan, and enjoy spending time with my two dogs, Junior and Bailey!

2nd Quarter Reading Log

Good Afternoon! I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! As we begin our 2nd Quarter today, I wanted to share with you a couple of changes that you will see with your child's weekly reading log. Students will now be required to write a nightly reading response over what they read each night at home. They can choose one of the four "prompts" listed on their reading log - they only need to complete ONE a night. I explained to them today that they can mix and match these however they like. The other big change is that I am no longer requiring a parent signature each night. I told the kids today in class that it will be easy for me to see who is reading at night by looking at their reading responses when they come back to school each day. Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. Thank you for your continued support in growing your children as independent readers!
