Spaulding Elementary

Mrs. Phillips had a glow party in her classroom this week. With everything glowing, students completed fun activities to practice a variety of fourth grade math skills.

Spaulding's Servant Leader group shared the service projects they have worked on this year at tonight's Board of Education Meeting. Mrs. Singleton and these students are doing incredible things!

3rd Grade enjoyed the Children's Theatre of Cincinnati's performance of Cinderella Wore Cowboy Boots!

We had our biggest crowd yet for lunch with the principal! Loved celebrating our warriors today and hearing about their awesome spring break plans!

The things we do in the name of learning! Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Strauss's students read about bugs and wrote an opinion writing about bugs on the cafeteria menu. Which of course meant, we had to try them!!🪳🪲🐛

Reminder: Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 19, is Primary Election Day. Students at Goshen High School will have a remote learning day. All other buildings will be open and running on a regular schedule. Exercise your right to vote!

Spaulding's 4th grade Karate Recorder Concert was a huge success! Congratulations to all our students who worked so hard and a special shout out to our black belts!

Everyone is having a great time at tonight's Mother & Son Carnival Event. Thanks to Goshen PTO for such a fun event!

The third grade servant leadership group showed love to our local seniors at O’Bannon Terrace by providing desserts and stained glass art using tissue paper for their Valentine’s Day celebration. Thank you Jennifer Layman for the generous dessert donations.

Today the third grade servant leadership group read with our youngest warriors at Marr/Cook to promote literacy. They had a great time! A big thank you to Marr/Cook for the collaboration to make this happen!

Mrs. Peterson's class loved Flexible Friday! Students worked on their reading fluency,  comparing/contrasting passages, synonym/ antonym puzzles and vocabulary.

Spaulding families, thank you for another wonderful turnout for our January service project to support the Ronald McDonald House! We collected a total of 12 gallon sized bags of pop tabs (each bag is approximately 2.5 pounds, each pound is about 1,267 tabs) thats 38,000 pop tabs!

Third graders in Mrs. Kendall’s class had a blast reviewing multi digit addition with a place value party.

Mrs. Drees classes studied the Law of Conservation of Matter by making Rootbeer Floats. We made two different floats, checking to see if it made a difference in the foam if we put the rootbeer on top of the ice cream of the ice cream into the rootbeer. We measured each ingredient separately then the combined float to see if the weight was different. Then, at the end, we got to drink our experiments!

The Goshen Board of Education will hold its annual organizational meeting on Monday, January 8 at 6:30 followed by the regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. in the Goshen High School Community Room.
